Overview

This is one the newly crafted tours in Nepal that offers the nature enthusiast and explore the Nepal’s rich biodiversity. Nepal is home to 897 bird’s species and 208 mammal’s species including rare and iconic mammals – Bengal Tiger, Greater One-horned Rhino, Red Panda etc. The tours begin from south-eastern part of Nepal – Bhadrapur airport. From here we drive to the eastern mountain ranges which is known for the many eastern species of birds and on top of that illusive Red Panda.  After that we drive down to the biodiversity hotspots – Koshi TappuWildlife reserve. This place is known for the migratory bird’s species and its only place for Asian Wild Buffalo – Arna.  Spending some days here, we will drive to mid west of Nepal – Chitwan National Park, another national park for many birds and mammal’s species.

Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu

We received you at the airport and transfer to your designated hotel.

Hotel: Hotel Moonlight or Similar Meal: Dinner

Day 02

Bhadrapur – Illam – Dobate Travel

Early morning flight to Bhadrapur airport and after that we drive to our destination. The drive is about 6/7 hrs and it goes through the beautiful tea-garden – Illam. From here onwards, we will be driving in off road to Dobate, a small mountain settlement. Your stay will basic home stay.

Hotel: Community Home Stay

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 03/04

Explore / In Search of Red Panda

We have a two full days to explore the areas for birds and wildlife. Our main target birds are Fire-tailed Myzornis, Spotted Laughingthrush, Satyr Tragopan(Rare) and many more.for the mammals, our main Target is – Red Panda.

Hotel: Community Home Stay

Day 05

Dobate – Illam – Koshi Tappu Travel

We will leave early morning to Illam and then to Koshi Tappu.  We have a about 7/8 hours drive.

Day 06/07

Koshi Tappu Exploration

We have a two full days to explore the areas. Koshi Tappu is a paradse for bird watchers and wildlife enthusiast as well. this is the only place in Nepal where you can observe and photography opportunity of Wild Water Buffalo (Bubalus arnee) which is listed in nationally protected mammals and endangered species by IUCN.  The reserve is best known for the migratory water fowls, resident globally threatened species.

Day 08

Koshi Tappu – Chitwan National Park Travel

We have a full day travel from Koshi Tappu to Chitwan National Park.  We will have a travel break in-between the journey.

Day 09/10

Chitwan National Park Safari

We have a two full days to explore and experience in Chitwan National Park. This park is Nepal’s first national park and it’s recognized as a UNESCO World heritage site.  This park has over 500 species of birds recorded and iconic mammals such as Bengal Tiger, Greater One-horned Rhino, Sloth Bear etc.

Day 11

Chitwan National Park – Pokhara Travel

It’s relatively short drive compare to previous travel, It takes roughly 5/6hrs drive.  Driving part is mostly pleasant but some sections may get dusty and bumpy as well. Pokhara is one of the touristic center for many adventure and leisue purposes. This area also also quite rich in biodiversity.

Hotel: Lakeside Retreat or Similar

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 12

Explore Pokhara

Today, we will explore the biodiversity richness of Pokhara valley. we will try to get the only endemic birds of Nepal and some resident vulture species as migratory Vulture may have returned.  Depending on your interested, we could combine with cultural tours as well.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 13

Pokhara - Kathmandu Travel

After Breakfast, we will drive to Pokhra Regional International Airport for flight to Kathmandu. It’s 25 minutes’ flight to Kathmandu, once we arrived in Kathmandu, we have a free time to explore the Kathmandu heritage sides or take your free time for shopping or relax.

Note: if you wish, you can also drive to Kathmandu, it’s 200km but road condition is that good due to road expansion, traffic jam, dust and bumpy as well.

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 14

Departure

Depending on your flight schedule, we will bring you to the airport and saying final good bye. If your flight is late, we can take you some tours if you wish.

Meal: Breakfast only.

Note: if this itinerary is too long, we may could reduce the one day in Koshi Tappu and also Chitwan as well.
